Got a Couch!

Our first couch! May 2012 - so exciting. 
Had it delivered, so difficult for them to get it up 5 flights of stairs. And it seemed impossible to get through the door but they did!
We also sold the small white couch on Craigslist which was nice to make some extra cash and avoid living room crowding.

Ah so amazing!

Living in Limbo - April 2012

Busy with wedding planning, work, traveling and honeymoon planning... unpacking couldn't be a first priority. So we made do with what we had until we were ready to move forward.
This is what it's like to live without time to unpack...

Finally scored a kitchen cabinet to get functional, kitchen wise. Will eventually get cabinets installed above it for additional storage. And one day we'll have a kitchen table!

March - Moving In Process

The first few weeks after moving in... with wedding planning, I had a trip to Ireland, planning our 3 week honeymoon, D had a work trip... so we just got things done as we could...

Have to remember this paint color. Deep Blue Sea
Wanted a dark, sleepy bedroom, loved this shade of dark blue.
Took a few coats, so we slept in the living room the first few nights we moved in.
Totally worth it to get it out of the way without any furniture in it. D is the best painter.

Woo - D got the bedroom taped and started painting the first night!

Painting makes it feel like a home.
